On Alfred Brendel's death

The great Austrian pianist Alfred Brendel died in london recently more than a decade after he stopped performing

He always played Haydn, Schubert, Mozart, Beethoven, and the Osterreichische and Deutsche meister well and his recordings were favorites of mine, truly missed during this time of turmoil and bleakness.

Petrus Romanus - my connection to pope francis whacked
